Paris: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Wednesday for the final phase of his two-nation visit covering France and Slovakia. The visit comes after his participation in the G7 Summit and a historic trip to Slovakia, where he held discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

Warm Welcome From Indian Community

Soon after landing in the French capital from Evian-Les-Bains, PM Modi was welcomed by members of the Indian diaspora. Sharing his thoughts on social media, the Prime Minister highlighted the role played by the Indian community in strengthening relations between India and France.

He also emphasized the importance of the India-France partnership, describing it as vital for global progress and cooperation.

VivaTech Summit Tops Agenda

A major highlight of the Paris visit will be PM Modi's participation in the VivaTech Summit, one of Europe's largest events dedicated to technology, innovation and startups. The summit brings together entrepreneurs, investors, technology leaders and policymakers from across the world.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Prime Minister's participation will showcase India's growing role in innovation, digital transformation and entrepreneurship. The event is also expected to create fresh opportunities for collaboration between Indian, French and European technology ecosystems.

Bilateral Meetings And Diaspora Outreach

Apart from attending the technology summit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral engagements with French leaders and stakeholders. Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening strategic cooperation, economic ties and future partnerships.

The Prime Minister will also interact with the Indian diaspora in France, which numbers over one lakh people, reinforcing people-to-people connections between the two countries.

Productive G7 Summit And Historic Slovakia Visit

Before arriving in Paris, PM Modi attended the G7 Summit, where he participated in discussions on major global challenges. He described the summit as productive and reaffirmed India's role as a leading voice of the Global South.

His visit to Slovakia was equally significant, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country since 1993 and opening new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
