PM Modi witnesses IAF air show at ELF Dibrugarh

Guwahati: Prime Minister on Saturday witnessed the Indian Air Force (IAF) an air display of Sukhoi Su-30MKI and Rafale fighter jets at the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh. The show included the aerial display of fighters, transport aircraft, and helicopters.

The ELF is the first such strip in the Northeast and has been designed and constructed in coordination with the Indian Air Force. The main objective of this strip is to support the landing and take off of military and civilian aircraft during emergencies. It will enable quick deployment of rescue and relief operations during natural disasters or strategic requirements in the Northeast.

Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal accorded a warm welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
