New Delhi: Audience with the Gavel, a memoir chronicling the life, career, and judicial journey of Supreme Court Judge Justice Pankaj Mithal, has been released at a distinguished ceremony held at the Supreme Court of India.

Authored by Kunal Vepa, Principal District Judge and currently serving as Director at the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), the book presents an intimate and engaging account of Justice Mithal’s personal and professional life.

Written in a unique narrative style, the memoir seamlessly moves between the present and the past, blending judicial milestones, personal reflections, and memorable anecdotes.

As per Dynamite News correspondent, the book traces Justice Pankaj Mithal’s journey from his early years through various stages of his legal and judicial career, culminating in his tenure at the Supreme Court of India. Through a mix of memories and reflections, the memoir offers readers an insightful look into the life of one of India’s distinguished jurists and provides a rare glimpse into the human side of judicial service.

The formal launch of the book was conducted by Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant in the presence of several sitting judges of the Supreme Court. The ceremony was attended by Justice Vikram Nath, Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Justice B.V. Nagarathna, Justice M.M. Sundresh, and Justice Pankaj Mithal, among others.

The release took place during a felicitation ceremony organized in honour of the retirement of Justice J.K. Maheshwari and Justice Pankaj Mithal. The event brought together members of the judiciary, the legal fraternity, and senior constitutional functionaries, making it a significant occasion in the legal calendar.

Several eminent personalities from the legal community were present at the event, including former Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana, the Attorney General for India, the Solicitor General of India, the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), and the President of the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA), along with a large gathering of judges, senior advocates, and legal professionals.
