BJP announces schedule for national president election; Nitin Nabeen set to take charge

According to the schedule, nominations for the post will be accepted on January 19 between 2 pm and 4 pm. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm, followed by the withdrawal window from 5 pm to 6 pm the same day. The National Election Officer will issue an official statement at 6:30 pm.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) issued the official notification for the election of its national president, formally initiating the final phase of its organisational exercise titled “Sangathan Parv 2024.”

The complete election schedule was released by Returning Officer Dr K Laxman.

Nitin Nabeen, who is currently serving as the party’s acting national president, is widely expected to be formally elected to the post following the completion of the process.

In a press release, the BJP said Sangathan Parv 2024 is nearing its conclusion and that the formal procedure for electing the national president has now begun. The party also released the list of members of the electoral college, which was made public at the BJP headquarters.
