New Delhi: Speaking at an event held in Patna, BJP National President Nitin Nabin heaped praise on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He stated that Nitish Kumar has steered Bihar out of the “Lantern Era”—a period characterized by backwardness—and set it firmly on the path of development. Now, the NDA government will work to further advance this very development model, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Conclusion of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’

This statement was delivered on the occasion of the conclusion of the fifth and final phase of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Journey). This journey was undertaken across various parts of Bihar to showcase development works and to connect with the public. Nitin Nabin remarked that this journey has successfully generated a positive atmosphere and a sense of enthusiasm throughout the state.

Nitish Kumar’s Role

Nitin Nabin asserted that Nitish Kumar has instilled a sense of self-confidence and dignity among the people of Bihar. He played a pivotal role in lifting the state out of darkness and backwardness, guiding it toward development and modernity. He further noted that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the state has witnessed significant improvements in electricity supply, road infrastructure, and other basic amenities.

Taking Aim at the Opposition

Attacking the opposition—specifically the RJD—the BJP leader remarked that during their tenure, providing electricity to every household remained a mere dream. That era was characterized as “Jungle Raj” (the Rule of the Jungle), a time when law and order were in a fragile state. He emphasized that the situation has now transformed, and the people of Bihar are living with dignity.

The Central Government’s Role

Nitin Nabin also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the “Double-Engine Government”—formed after 2014—has accelerated Bihar’s development trajectory. Several major projects have been successfully completed through the collaborative efforts of the Central and State governments.

Future Goals

He gave an assurance that the NDA government would continue to advance Nitish Kumar’s development roadmap and fulfill the objective of creating a “Developed Bihar” by the year 2030. He added that while this might potentially be his final official public gathering in his capacity as an MLA, he would nonetheless continue to dedicate his efforts toward the development of Bihar. Nitish Kumar's Message

Nitish Kumar also said at the event that Bihar will continue to progress and everything is moving in the right direction. People also appealed to him to remain in the state.
