The development comes amid ongoing tensions surrounding the CJP's protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
In a statement posted on social media, Delhi Police confirmed that Das and Ranka had been detained after reaching Jantar Mantar. The two leaders had previously been detained on October 10 along with CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke ahead of the party's planned demonstration in the national capital.
The three leaders were subsequently released by an executive magistrate court on October 11, subject to a condition to maintain peace for one year.
The CJP has been demanding accountability from the Election Commission over the SIR exercise and has called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. The party has raised concerns over alleged irregularities in electoral roll revisions.
The latest detention marks another development in the ongoing dispute over the party's planned demonstrations in Delhi. Police had earlier denied permission for its proposed protest, citing law-and-order and public-safety concerns.
Further details about the latest detention, including the grounds for the police action and the location where the leaders have been taken, were not immediately available.
