Yogender Yadav at CJP Protest
New delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party-led protest at Jantar Mantar entered its 12th day on Wednesday, with protesters continuing their agitation despite the scorching heat in Delhi.
When Dynamite News reached the protest site, demonstrators were seen standing firm and raising their demands. Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on hunger strike, also remained present at the protest venue.
Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav also reached Jantar Mantar and met Sonam Wangchuk to enquire about his health. Speaking to Dynamite News, Yadav said the government is not listening to people’s voices but trying to suppress them.
He also said he does not believe the Education Minister will resign. According to him, Wangchuk’s hunger strike in such extreme heat has given more strength to the movement.
Other protesters said the government’s silence on key issues has further increased public anger. They demanded that the government should speak to the protesters and take decisions in the interest of the country.
The protest, which began over alleged irregularities in the examination system and paper leak concerns, continues to gain momentum at Jantar Mantar.
