New Delhi: Delhi University’s Ramjas College and Miranda House were evacuated on Monday morning after receiving bomb threat emails, police confirmed. Bomb disposal squads and dog units were immediately deployed to both campuses to carry out precautionary checks.

The alerts in Delhi come amid a spate of similar emails earlier in the day. Multiple schools in Chandigarh and areas of Punjab, including the Punjab and Haryana Secretariat and the Ferozepur district court, also received bomb threat emails.
The messages reportedly came from a group calling itself the Khalistan National Army, prompting immediate evacuations and deployment of bomb disposal and sniffer dog teams across all targeted locations.
This is the latest in a series of security threats in Delhi. A few days ago, the office of Raja Iqbal Singh, Mayor of Delhi, received a bomb threat via email. The message warned of a potential explosion around 2:11 PM and caused immediate security action, including area checks and increased police presence.
Police officials stated that cyber experts are now working to trace the origin of the emails to identify the sender and prevent further threats.

The incidents have raised concerns over the safety of educational and government institutions amid threats from extremist groups. Delhi Police and security agencies are maintaining heightened vigilance, ensuring rapid response to any suspicious activity.
Students and staff at both Ramjas College and Miranda House have been temporarily moved to safe zones while investigations and security sweeps are underway.
The police have urged the public not to panic and cooperate with authorities during the ongoing security checks.
