
Eid-e-Milad at Hazratbal Shrine: Thousands Gather in Kashmir for Grand Religious Celebration
Srinagar: The historic Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar witnessed one of the biggest Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) gatherings in recent years as thousands of devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir arrived to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with prayers, religious ceremonies and spiritual activities.
The massive turnout at the revered shrine has drawn attention as people from different districts gathered to participate in special prayers, Quran recitations and religious programmes, making the occasion a major spiritual event in Kashmir.
From early morning, the area surrounding Hazratbal Shrine remained crowded with devotees, including men, women, elderly people and families who travelled from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir to offer prayers and seek blessings.
The white-domed shrine, which holds immense religious significance among Muslims in Kashmir, witnessed an atmosphere filled with devotion as people remembered the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Considering the large number of visitors, authorities implemented detailed security arrangements around the shrine. Organisers said the number of devotees attending the Eid-e-Milad celebration crossed tens of thousands, making it one of the largest gatherings held at Hazratbal Shrine in recent years. The huge participation reflected the emotional and spiritual connection people share with the historic shrine, which remains one of Kashmir’s most important religious landmarks.
