New Delhi: The 10th anniversary of the online news channel Dynamite News was celebrated with great grandeur at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi on Thursday. The event, held as part of the Young India Country Award 2025 ceremony, witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries from across the nation. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest, while the 50th Chief Justice of India, Dr DY Chandrachud, graced the occasion as the distinguished guest.

During his address, Dr Chandrachud not only praised Dynamite News for its journalism but also shared thoughtful insights on India’s evolving social landscape, especially highlighting the role of women and the strength of youth in nation-building. He congratulated Dynamite News and its founder, Manoj Tibrewal Aakash, for setting new benchmarks in ethical and responsible journalism.

As a Keynote Speaker of the event, Dr Chandrachud remarked, “Dynamite News has given journalism a new direction, one grounded in honesty, truth, accuracy, and fairness. It is not merely a news channel but a representation of that stream of journalism which reflects social transformation in our country.”

He further observed that in today’s time, when negativity dominates social media, Dynamite News has set an example by practicing positive and responsible journalism. “Reporting that focuses on national development can also succeed. Dynamite News is living proof of that,” he said.

Praised Strength Of Young India And Role Of Women

Highlighting India’s demographic strength, Dr Chandrachud noted that nearly 85% of the country’s population is under the age of 49, and around 250 million children are below the age of 10. He said this reflects the boundless youth energy that defines India today. He also commended the fact that all three award recipients were women, a symbol of a changing and progressive India.

He added, “Today, women are not only doctors but neurosurgeons, cardiac surgeons, warship commanders, and judges of the Supreme Court. This is the face of a transforming India.”

Reflections On Values Of Journalism

The former Chief Justice of India also shared his thoughts on the foundational values of journalism. He emphasized that the core purpose of journalism must always be to uphold the truth. Warning against superficial reporting, he said, “Oversimplification of facts can distort justice. Journalists must report with context and responsibility so that the public receives factual and meaningful information.”

Acknowledging the success of Dynamite News, Dr Chandrachud said, “The first ten years are the foundation years—often the most challenging phase for any institution. Dynamite News has not only overcome that phase but has also built a strong and credible identity.”
