New Delhi: Former Chief Justice of India Dr DY Chandrachud delivered an insightful keynote address during the Dynamite News 10th anniversary. He lauded the news channel for setting new benchmarks in ethical, honest, and responsible journalism while also sharing his perspectives on India’s evolving social and demographic landscape.

Dr Chandrachud commended the news channel and its founder, Manoj Tibrewal Aakash, noting, “Dynamite News has given journalism a new direction, one grounded in honesty, truth, accuracy, and fairness. It is not merely a news channel but a representation of that stream of journalism which reflects social transformation in our country.”

Promoting Positive and Responsible Journalism

The former CJI highlighted the challenges posed by negative content dominating social media and emphasized how Dynamite News has demonstrated that constructive, positive reporting can thrive.

“Reporting that focuses on national development can also succeed. Dynamite News is living proof of that,” he stated, stressing the importance of journalism that uplifts and informs the public responsibly.

He also touched upon the foundational values of journalism, underscoring that its core purpose must always be to uphold the truth. Warning against superficial or oversimplified reporting, DY Chandrachud remarked, “Oversimplification of facts can distort justice. Journalists must report with context and responsibility so that the public receives factual and meaningful information.”

Youth Power and Women’s Leadership in India

DY Chandrachud highlighted India’s demographic strength, noting that nearly 85% of the population is under the age of 49, with around 250 million children below the age of 10, reflecting the immense potential of the nation’s youth.

He also congratulated that all three award recipients at the event were women, describing it as a symbol of progressive and inclusive India.

“Today, women are not only doctors but neurosurgeons, cardiac surgeons, warship commanders, and judges of the Supreme Court. This is the face of a transforming India,” he said, emphasizing the growing leadership and contribution of women in various fields.

Acknowledging the news channel’s growth over the first ten years, Dr. Chandrachud said, “The first ten years are the foundation years—often the most challenging phase for any institution. Dynamite News has not only overcome that phase but has also built a strong and credible identity.”
