Gandhinagar: A grand swearing-in ceremony was held in Gujarat on Friday, in which Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's new council of ministers took oath. Harsh Sanghvi was appointed the state's new Deputy Chief Minister, while Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja and MLA from Jamnagar North, was given a ministerial position for the first time.

Those sworn in include Kanubhai Desai, Purushottam Solanki, Naresh Patel, Darshana Vaghela, Pradyuman Vaja, Kantilal Amrutiya, and Manisha Vakil.

Senior leader and former minister Arjun Modhwadia, who left the Congress party last year to join the BJP, has also been appointed minister. This indicates that the BJP has appointed him as a minister, taking into account his experience and influence.

MLAs like Jitu Vaghani from Bhavnagar, Kaushik Vekaria from Amreli, Tikaram Chhanga, Jairam Gamit, Swarupji Thakor, PC Baranda, Ramesh Katara, Ishwarsinh Patel, Praveen Mali, Ramanbhai Solanki, Kamlesh Patel, and Sanjay Singh Mahida have also been included in the Council of Ministers.
