Hisar: Hisar Court has sent YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra to 14 days of judicial custody. On Monday (May 26), Hisar Police produced her in the court after the end of her four-day remand, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

In total, Jyoti was kept in remand for 9 days. She was arrested on May 16 on charges of passing on sensitive information to Pakistan.

Questioning of Jyoti Malhotra

The police interrogated Jyoti intensively during the remand and tried to gather important clues related to espionage. Earlier also, Jyoti was taken on remand twice.

The investigating agencies interrogated Jyoti several times and explored many aspects related to espionage.

12 people arrested on charges of espionage

Jyoti Malhotra is a YouTuber, and a case was registered against her on May 16 under the Official Secrets Act and the Indian Penal Code. She was among the 12 people who were arrested from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on suspicion of espionage.

Contact with Pakistani High Commission employee

Jyoti Malhotra was in contact with Pakistani High Commission employee Ehsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish. India expelled Danish from the country on May 13 on charges of espionage. Jyoti is said to have been in contact with Danish and was involved in espionage activities from Pakistan.

Travel abroad and investigation

Jyoti had traveled to Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and other countries. She has also been questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Intelligence Bureau, and Military Intelligence. Investigations have revealed that Pakistan's intelligence agency groomed her as its "asset."

Suspicious activities and investigation

She was also in contact with Danish during the military conflict between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Police have found deleted chats from Jyoti's laptop and mobile. Apart from this, her bank accounts are also being investigated.

What did the investigation reveal?

According to the Superintendent of Police of Hisar, the investigation so far has not found any concrete evidence that proves that Jyoti has obtained sensitive defense or strategic information or has been involved in terrorist activities. So far there is no indication of her links with terrorist organizations.

So, at present the arrest and investigation of Jyoti Malhotra are going on, and the police are investigating the matter deeply.
