New Delhi: The Delhi Police has permitted the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP) to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar. This approval follows the organization's call for supporters to gather outside the Sansad Marg Police Station at 9 AM on Saturday for a peaceful demonstration. With the police clearance, there are no longer any legal hurdles in the path of the proposed protest.

Refusal for Immediate Hearing in High Court

The Delhi High Court declined an urgent hearing on a petition related to this matter. The court clarified that the petition would be heard in due course. Consequently, there was no legal stay on the protest, clearing the way for the event to proceed.

Leadership and Demands

Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the 'Cockroach Janata Party', is leading the protest. He has demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

This demand stems from allegations regarding the NEET paper leak and irregularities within the education system. Dipke traveled from Boston, USA, to India and called upon people to join the movement.

Abhijit Dipke's Appeal

In a post on the social media platform X, Abhijit Dipke urged his supporters to gather at Jantar Mantar. He asked participants to bring books and the Tricolour (Indian flag) with them.

He also suggested expressing empathy and gratitude towards police personnel by offering them flowers. He stated that the protest would be conducted in a spirit of love and peace.

Tightened Security Arrangements

In view of the protest, the Delhi Police has tightened security arrangements across the capital. Police deployment has been increased in the Sansad Marg Police Station area as well as in other sensitive zones. According to officials, continuous monitoring is being carried out to maintain law and order.

High Security and Police Deployment

In view of the protests, security has been stepped up outside the official residences of several ministers, including the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and the Education Minister.

More than 1,000 police personnel have been deployed in the New Delhi area. Police personnel have been instructed to avoid any confrontation with protesters and to handle the situation through dialogue.

Security Arrangement Divided into Zones

The Delhi Police has divided the entire Central Delhi area into 12 zones. Responsibility for each zone has been assigned to an officer of DCP rank. All district and unit DCPs have been directed to remain alert so that any emergency situation can be dealt with immediately.

Potential Impact and Monitoring

The police anticipate that the protests could disrupt traffic and pose challenges regarding law and order. In light of this, security agencies are keeping a close watch on the situation, and every activity is being monitored.
