Notably, before the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Saturday, Digvijay Singh shared a 1996 picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani. Sharing this picture, he wrote that it is very impactful. In his post, Digvijay Singh tagged Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, which fueled speculation that he was sending an internal message to the party leadership. As soon as Digvijay Singh's post went viral on social media, several BJP leaders criticized Rahul Gandhi for his open opposition.

What did Digvijay Singh say in his clarification?
After this post surfaced on Sunday, Digvijay Singh clarified, saying, "Understand one thing, I have been in the Congress party, and whenever I was in the Legislative Assembly or Parliament, I have fought against communal forces. I oppose their (RSS-BJP) ideology. But every organization needs to be strong."
