New Delhi: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit India from October 21 to 23 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with both leaders set to discuss bilateral ties, trade and investment, defence and emerging technologies, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced.
Tusk will be accompanied by Andrzej Domanski, Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, along with a large business delegation. The visit comes as India and Poland seek to expand cooperation following the elevation of their bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership in August 2024.
The two prime ministers will hold bilateral talks in New Delhi on October 22, reviewing the full range of India-Poland relations and exchanging views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The MEA said the visit would provide an opportunity to strengthen the Strategic Partnership and advance cooperation across several sectors.
This will be Tusk’s second visit to India as Poland’s prime minister. His first visit in that capacity took place in 2010 during his earlier tenure. He also visited New Delhi in 2017 for the India-EU Summit as president of the European Council.
Trade and investment will be among the key areas of engagement during the visit. An India-Poland Business Forum will be held in New Delhi on October 22 and in Bengaluru on October 23, bringing business representatives from both countries together.

Tusk will also travel to Bengaluru, where he is scheduled to meet business stakeholders, particularly from the information technology and space sectors.
According to the MEA, the visit is expected to advance bilateral cooperation in defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education and culture, alongside trade and investment. Strengthening people-to-people ties will also form part of the broader engagement.
The visit is also expected to contribute to deeper India-European Union relations, as New Delhi and Warsaw look to build on their strategic partnership and explore further areas of cooperation.
