Initially, US President Donald Trump claimed to have played a role in brokering the ceasefire. Following this, China also presented itself as a mediator in the peace talks between India and Pakistan.

However, India has categorically rejected all these claims, clarifying that the matter was solely between the two countries. Indian government sources stated that Pakistan itself requested the ceasefire after Operation Sindoor, and no third country was involved.
