New Delhi: There is a golden chance of getting a job in the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The Coast Guard has issued a notification for the recruitment of assistant commandant for the 2027 batch. Interested and eligible male candidates can apply online by visiting joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.

Number of posts

Under this recruitment drive, a total of 170 posts will be recruited in the Indian Coast Guard. Of these, the maximum 140 posts are for General Duty (GD), while 30 posts have been earmarked for Technical Branch (which includes Engineering, Electrical, and Electronics).

Recruitment will be done on these posts.

These recruitments will be done for the General Duty (GD), Technical Mechanical, and Technical Electrical/Electronics branches.

Age limit

The age of the candidates should be between 21 and 25 years, which will be calculated on the basis of 1 July 2026. According to this, the date of birth of the candidates should be between 1 July 2001 and 30 June 2005.

Application Date

The application process for this recruitment started on 8 July 2025; candidates can apply until 23 July 2025 at 11:30 pm.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Commandant General Duty (GD) should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks from a recognized university. Also, the study of mathematics and physics subjects is mandatory in class XII.

For the technical branch (engineering, electrical, and electronics), candidates should have a BE/B.Tech degree in a relevant subject and should have studied math and physics in 12th grade as well.

Application Fee

To participate in this recruitment process, candidates of the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to deposit a ₹ 300 application fee through online mode. Whereas no fee will be charged from SC and ST category candidates. Fee payment can be made by debit card, credit card, or net banking.

1. First of all, candidates go to joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.

2. Register with your name, mobile number, email, etc. by clicking on the “New Registration” option.

3. After registration, log in with the given user ID and password.

4. Fill in all the required information, like personal details, educational qualifications, category, etc.

5. Upload a photo, signature, and other required documents in the prescribed format and size.

6. Pay the application fee through online mode as per category (if applicable).

After checking all the information, submit the form and keep a printoutof it for the future.
