

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has arrived at the UN to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations, where he will present India’s position on various issues, including Operation Sindoor.

New Delhi: Dr Nishikant Dubey, a fourth-term BJP Lok Sabha MP and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Information Technology is on a visit to the United Nations, where he will participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly and present India's position to the world on important issues, including Operation Sindoor.
Those attending the UN General Assembly with Nishikant Dubey include third-term BJP MP and Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on 'One Nation, One Election', PP Chaudhary, and other MPs. This delegation of MPs arrived in New York on Tuesday to participate in the UN General Assembly.
Dr Nishikant Dubey, BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, who arrived for the United Nations session, specially thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nadda, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju for nominating him to attend the session.
Sharing a photo of himself from New York on the social media platform X, Nishikant Dubey wrote, "Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has nominated an ordinary BJP worker like me to represent India at the United Nations session. Today, I left for New York City, USA, along with other fellow MPs. Thanks to Home Minister Amit Shah, National President JP Nadda, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju."

While the Indian delegation is participating in the UN session, the Indian Army will host the Conference of Heads of United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) in New Delhi from 14 to 16 October 2025. Senior military chiefs from over 30 major contributing countries to UN peacekeeping operations will participate in the event. A preview event was held on 1 October 2025 at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
