New Delhi: The headquarters of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru received a bomb threat via email on Thursday, prompting a swift security response from local authorities. The incident led to a precautionary evacuation of employees and a detailed search of the premises.

According to sources, the threatening message was detected in the organisation’s official email inbox earlier in the day. Following established standard operating procedures, ISRO officials immediately alerted the police.

Bomb Disposal Squad Conducts Thorough Search

Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog units, reached the ISRO headquarters located in the Sanjay Nagar area of Bengaluru. A comprehensive search operation was carried out across the premises to ensure safety.

As a precautionary measure, all staff members present inside the building were safely evacuated while security personnel inspected the facility. Authorities maintained tight control around the area during the operation.

Threat Declared A Hoax After Investigation

After a detailed search, senior police officials confirmed that no explosive material or suspicious object was found on the premises. The bomb threat email was subsequently declared a hoax.
