Delhi: The Executive Magistrate’s court has released Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka on the condition that they maintain peace for one year.

The development comes amid heightened tensions over the organisation’s planned protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Court Imposes One-Year Peace Condition

The three CJP leaders had been placed under preventive arrest ahead of the proposed demonstration in the national capital. Their release is subject to the condition that they maintain peace over the next year, according to the information available.

Preventive action had been taken amid concerns surrounding the planned gathering and the possibility of a law-and-order situation in Delhi.
