New Delhi: Abhijit Deepke, founder of the Kakroach Janata Party (CJP), announced a nationwide campaign on Monday to improve government schools in villages. He called upon parents to conduct a social audit of basic amenities in schools and urged Sarpanchs (village heads) across the country to improve the schools in their respective areas.
The campaign will launch on August 15. In a video message, Deepke stated that he would kickstart this initiative from his own village, Hingoli in Maharashtra, and request the village head to undertake improvements for the government schools.
Deepke noted that August 15 marks our 80th Independence Day. However, over the past 80 years, government schools in our villages have faced the greatest neglect. He asked, "We have built a new Parliament House and a new PM House, but why haven't we been able to build new schools in our villages? Do we not consider the children of farmers and laborers to be the future of our country?"
Deepke stated that he would personally visit villages in Maharashtra's Hingoli district to meet the Sarpanchs. Those who take the initiative to improve schools will be acknowledged on CJP’s social media pages, featuring photographs of their work to inspire others. CJP has named this initiative the "Sarpanch Challenge."
CJP has urged parents of children attending government schools to visit the schools and check for the availability of basic amenities. They are encouraged to verify the presence of electricity and water, and to check if toilet facilities are available for their children. If these facilities are missing, parents should record a video.
Additionally, CJP announced that a printable audit form would soon be released, allowing citizens to document details regarding the facilities present—or lacking—in their children's schools. This form will be shared via campaign video links on CJP's official social media platforms.
