Objective Of Meeting

The main objective of the meeting was to make the Kanwar Yatra safe, well-organized and peaceful. Every year lakhs of Shiva devotees reach Haridwar to take Gangajal and in such a situation, crowd management, traffic control and maintaining law and order becomes a big challenge. Keeping this in mind, officials of all the states emphasized on strengthening mutual coordination.

DJ Guidelines

There was a discussion especially about the length and width of DJ and Kanwar. It is often seen that during the Kanwar Yatra, large DJ sound systems are installed, which cause noise pollution and obstruction in traffic. To solve this problem, the maximum height of the DJ has been fixed at 10 feet and the width at 12 feet. This will not only control the intensity of the sound but will also maintain smoothness on the route.
