Hyderabad: Investigations into the Moinabad farmhouse drugs party case have reached a crucial stage, with the Metropolitan Court granting the police three-day custody of the three accused, including former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy, his brother Rakesh Reddy, and businessman Namit Sharma, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
SIT Probe Gains Momentum
The case has drawn attention across both the Telugu states. The SIT (Special Investigation Team) continues to question the accused at an undisclosed location to avoid media attention. According to SIT officials, the probe has revealed possible links to an international drug network.
Multiple Parties Under Scanner
This finding has added a new dimension to the case. Investigations revealed that the Moinabad farmhouse allegedly hosted around 24 drug parties. The SIT identified Namit Sharma as a key accused and linked drug networks operating from Delhi and Punjab.
Key Supplier Under Questioning
The SIT also questioned Abhishek Singh, who allegedly supplied narcotics to the main accused, Pilot Rohit Reddy, the owner of the farmhouse.
Details of the Raid
The drug case pertains to a raid conducted on March 14 at Rohit Reddy’s farmhouse in Moinabad, where 11 people were attending a drug party. During the raid, two grams of cocaine and other drugs were seized. The 11 persons who were nabbed include a present TDP Lok Sabha member, Putta Mahesh Kumar.
Drug Consumption and Firing Incident
Preliminary screening indicated that at least six individuals had consumed narcotic substances during the raid. Namit Sharma is said to have fired multiple rounds into the air in an attempt to disrupt the police raid.
