Ghaziabad: A massive fire broke out at a factory in Ghaziabad's Tronica City Industrial Area early Wednesday morning, triggering an extensive emergency response involving six fire tenders from Ghaziabad and neighbouring Baghpat. After nearly three and a half hours of intensive firefighting, the blaze was brought completely under control at around 7:30 am. No casualties or injuries have been reported.

The fire erupted at Kumar Packers, located at Plot No. D-4 in Sector B-3 of the Tronica City Industrial Area in Loni. According to officials, the Loni fire station received an emergency alert at approximately 4:24 am, following which three fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site.

When the initial firefighting teams reached the premises, they found that the flames had spread across the first floor of the three-and-a-half-storey factory building. The intensity of the blaze prompted the fire department to mobilise additional resources, with fire tenders called from Vaishali and Sahibabad in Ghaziabad, as well as Khekra fire station in Baghpat district. The incident triggered a prolonged firefighting operation, with personnel working to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other floors or nearby structures.

Firefighters Launch Multi-Point Operation to Contain Blaze

Fire crews deployed an intensive, multi-point firefighting strategy to tackle the blaze. Water lines were laid through the factory's stairwell and across the roof of an adjoining factory to facilitate access to the affected sections and strengthen the containment operation.

Factory employees had also attempted to control the fire using firefighting equipment available on the premises before the emergency teams took charge of the operation. However, the rapid spread and intensity of the flames necessitated the deployment of additional fire tenders.

With six fire tenders engaged in the operation, firefighters managed to bring the blaze completely under control by approximately 7:30 am, following nearly three and a half hours of sustained efforts.

The teams also succeeded in preventing the flames from spreading to other floors of the building. Once the main fire had been extinguished, firefighters removed materials stored inside the premises and carried out cooling operations to eliminate residual heat and extinguish smouldering embers beneath the debris.

These post-fire operations were aimed at reducing the risk of reignition. Local police personnel were also present at the site throughout the emergency response, assisting with on-ground coordination as firefighting teams worked to secure the premises.

Cardboard Manufacturing and Car Perfume Production Units Housed in Factory

According to information provided by the fire department, the factory housed different manufacturing activities across its floors. The ground floor was being used for cardboard manufacturing, while the first floor accommodated a unit involved in producing car perfumes and related products. The first floor was also being used for packaging-related operations.

The fire initially broke out on the first floor before spreading across the affected section of the premises. However, firefighters managed to prevent the blaze from extending to other floors of the three-and-a-half-storey building.

The presence of manufacturing and packaging operations inside the factory has also become relevant to the assessment of the incident. Authorities have not yet established whether the fire originated from machinery, an electrical installation, stored materials or another source.

Cause of Ghaziabad Factory Fire Yet to Be Established

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. Further details are awaited from the authorities. Despite the scale of the blaze and the prolonged firefighting operation, no loss of life or injuries have been reported so far.

The coordinated response involving fire stations in Loni, Vaishali, Sahibabad and Khekra helped bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading further. Authorities are expected to establish the cause of the fire as the investigation progresses. The condition of the affected premises and the extent of property or material damage have not been specified in the information available so far.
