New Delhi: The Lok Sabha adjourned sine die today on Friday, bringing the winter session to a close. During this session, Members of Parliament conducted parliamentary business through continuous debates. The government successfully passed several high-impact bills, leading to significant changes in insurance, nuclear energy, rural employment, and financial policies.

Key Bills Debated and Passed

The session comprised a total of 19 sittings, and both Houses passed eight crucial bills. The most prominent among these were:

The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Bill, 2025, which promotes private and foreign investment in the nuclear sector.

The Viksit Bharat Gram Rozgar aur Manav Garima (VB G-RAM-G) Bill, 2025, which replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) with a new rural employment and wage law.

The Sabka Bima Sabki Raksha (Amendment of Insurance Laws) Bill, 2025, which increases the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) limit in the insurance sector to 100%.
