PM Modi In Bhutan: ‘Delhi blast culprits will not be spared’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhutan on a two-day visit. He was given a grand welcome at the airport in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, attended by several senior ministers and top officials of the Bhutanese government. PM Modi will be in Bhutan from November 11-12, during which he will strengthen bilateral relations and attend the 70th birthday celebrations of Bhutan's fourth King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck. He said, "I have come here today with a very heavy heart. The horrific incident that took place in Delhi yesterday evening has saddened everyone. PM Modi stated that he remained in contact with investigating agencies and other relevant officials throughout the night following the incident, gathering information about the incident. He assured that those behind the conspiracy will be brought to justice. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of the visit. He said that his visit would give a new direction to bilateral relations between India and Bhutan. He said, "Our partnership is a key pillar of the 'Neighborhood First Policy' and is a model of excellent friendly relations between neighboring countries. I believe this visit will further deepen our friendship and strengthen our efforts towards shared progress and prosperity." He said, "Those responsible for this incident will not be spared under any circumstances and will be brought to justice.
