In Varanasi, projects worth Rs 51,000 crore have been approved in 11 years, out of which projects worth Rs 34,000 crore have been launched. He is working to move Kashi forward and give it a unique identity. Projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crore are currently in progress.
PM Modi inaugurates projects worth Rs 2200 crore in Varanasi
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and launched several development projects worth around Rs 2200 crore in Varanasi. These projects cover various areas like infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development, and cultural heritage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honoured by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a function in Varanasi. During the event, the Chief Minister presented a 'Shivalinga' memento to the Prime Minister. Other notable attendees included Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh, and BJP's UP in-charge Radha Mohan Singh.
Yogi Adityanath welcomed and congratulated the Prime Minister during the holy month of Sawan, saying, "I warmly welcome and congratulate the Prime Minister, who is not only the MP of Kashi but also has a deep love for this city, bringing it global recognition."
Praising the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said he is the most popular leader in the world. "You must have seen that in the last 11 years, more than four dozen countries have honoured the Prime Minister with their highest civilian award. The entire world acknowledges his vision for public welfare and global interest. "
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is building a new India. It is fortunate that he represents Kashi in the country's Parliament. On Saturday, the Prime Minister came to Kashi to present projects worth Rs 2200 crore.

On the same day, the Prime Minister also released the 20th installment of the 'Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme for more than 9.7 crore farmers nationwide. This time, Rs 20,500 crore has been transferred to the accounts of farmers. This has benefitted 2.21 lakh farmers of Kashi. Earlier, he had transferred Samman Nidhi to the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers on 18th June 2024.
