New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at 5 pm today at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event, which is going to held from February 16th to 20th, is envisioned as a major national platform to promote the practical use of artificial intelligence in the country. The government aims to bring policy, innovation, and technology to the common citizen.

Global Partnerships and Large-Scale Event

The expo will be held in 10 different arenas spanning over 70,000 square meters, bringing together technology companies, startups, research institutes, central ministries, state governments, and international partners from around the world. Special pavilions from 13 countries, including Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and Africa, will showcase a global glimpse of AI collaboration.

Startups, Live Demos, and Themed Displays

The expo will feature over 300 exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations. The program is structured around three key themes - people, planet, and progress. A wide range of innovations will be showcased, from the use of AI in education, health, and civil services to environmental protection, climate solutions, industry, trade, and economic development. More than 600 startups will participate, many of which have already implemented AI solutions on the ground.

Large Visitor and Expert Sessions

More than 2,50,000 people, including international delegates, are expected to attend the event. Over 500 sessions will be held, with over 3,250 experts and speakers discussing the transformative impact of AI, future policies, and societal applications. The government believes this initiative will establish India as a strong global AI leader.

Invitation not extended to Pakistan

Heads of state, ministers, diplomats, and technical experts from several countries have been invited to the conference, but neighboring Pakistan has not been invited. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this decision was made based on strategic and diplomatic considerations.

Overall, India AI Impact Expo 2026 is being seen as a showcase of India's technological capabilities, global partnerships and innovation power, which can give a new direction to the digital economy of the future.
