President Droupadi Murmu will install the Shri Ram Yantra at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir today, marking a historic moment. The ceremony, attended by around 7,000 guests, will take place on the auspicious occasion of Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri.
Shri Ram Yantra Installation Marks New Chapter in Ram Mandir History
Ayodhya: Today, on the auspicious occasion of the Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will witness a historic moment. President Droupadi Murmu will ceremonially install the Shri Ram Yantra on the second floor of the temple. Approximately 7,000 guests will attend this special ceremony.
The President will arrive at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at approximately 11 a.m. and will then proceed by road to the temple complex. During her four-hour stay, she will visit Ram Lalla and seek his blessings before participating in the Yantra installation ritual.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, Ram Temple Trust officials, and several saints and religious leaders will be present at the event. The Trust's General Secretary, Champat Rai, will conduct the program.
Following the installation of the Shri Ram Yantra, the President will perform darshan, puja, and aarti of the Ram family. She will also visit the temples of Maharishi Valmiki, Mata Shabari, and Nishadraj located in the Saptamandapa. This is being considered a step that conveys the message of social harmony and equality.
According to sources, the President may also interact with workers engaged in the construction of the temple. Approximately 300 saints, 400 workers, and over 1,800 employees will participate in this event. Devotees from India and abroad will also be able to watch the live broadcast of the event.
The state government has made extensive preparations in Ayodhya for the President's arrival. The Municipal Corporation, administration, and police are working together to make the city clean, safe, and grand. A special cleaning and beautification campaign has been launched on the roads, ghats, and temple complex.
Approximately 500 sanitation workers have been deployed, who are continuously maintaining the cleanliness. Special cleaning of the Saryu Ghats and attractive lighting of underpasses have been installed to provide a better experience to the devotees.
The installation of the Shri Ram Yantra will take place at 11:55 a.m. during the Abhijit Muhurta (time of the Lord's yantra) amid chanting of Vedic mantras. This event is not only religiously significant but will also mark a new chapter in the history of the Ram Temple.
