What Ministers Are Saying?

Party chief JP Nadda credited the PM for the BJP’s expansion. Speaking at a party function on Sunday in Andhra Pradesh he said that the Modi-led NDA is both responsible and responsive, representing the world’s largest political party with 14 crore (140 million) members. Currently, the alliance governs in 20 states, with the BJP holding power in 13 of them. In Parliament, it has 240 MPs in the Lok Sabha, along with nearly 1,500 MLAs across states and over 170 MLCs.

According to party leaders, it was Modi’s personal influence that enabled the National Democratic Alliance to come together again, even after key allies like the Telugu Desam Party, Janata Dal (United), AIADMK, Shiromani Akali Dal, and Shiv Sena had walked out of the coalition.
