Punjab Police with BSF recovers over 12 kg heroin in Amritsar
Amritsar: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Punjab Police in a joint operation with the Border Security Force (BSF) has seized over 12 kilograms of suspected heroin on Tuesday near Dalleke village here in Amritsar.
After getting intelligence inputs regarding drone activity in the area, the Police raided the place and recovered the suspected heroine. Further investigators are underway to establish connections and identify those involved in thiscrime.
The Director General of (DGP) Punjab Police said that this recovery was made following specific intelligence inputs received regarding suspected drone activity at the border. Acting swiftly on the information, the ANTF and BSF successfully recovered the heroine packets. Primary investigation reveal that the recovered substance is suspected heroin, and further investigations are underway.
