Lucknow: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi appeared in court in Lucknow today in an old defamation case. Rahul Gandhi was summoned to surrender personally due to the summons and non-bailable warrant issued by the court. In compliance with which he reached the court.
According to the information received by the Dynamite News correspondent, the administration and security agencies were fully alert regarding Rahul Gandhi's appearance. Police force was deployed in and around the court premises so that there is no chaos. Rahul Gandhi surrendered peacefully in the court. After which the court released him on bail giving the next date for proceedings.

The most special scene was seen outside the court premises, where despite heavy rain, hundreds of Congress workers gathered and kept raising slogans in support of Rahul Gandhi.
Slogans such as "Desh ka PM kaisa ho, Rahul Gandhi jaisa ho", "Rahul tum sangharsh karo hum tumhare saath hain" (How should the country's Prime Minister be, he should be like Rahul Gandhi, Rahul, you fight, we are with you) kept echoing all around. Many workers had arrived with the tricolor, Congress flag and posters of Rahul Gandhi. Even after getting drench in the rain, the enthusiasm of the workers did not diminish.
This case is a defamation case related to an old statement, in which Rahul Gandhi made a comment on Indian soldiers during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. This defamation complaint was filed by Uday Shankar Srivastava, former director of Border Roads Organization (BRO). The complaint claimed that Rahul Gandhi had made derogatory remarks against the Indian Army during his Bharat Jodo Yatra on 16 December 2022.
