Patna: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of the voter list is in full swing in Bihar as part of preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in 2025. But now political confrontation is increasing over this process. Opposition parties are calling this campaign a "conspiracy against democracy" and have come out on the streets of the capital, Patna.

Tejashwi Yadav made a big allegation

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said in a stern tone during the march, "We will not allow BJP and Nitish Kumar's 'Godi Commission' to loot the elections in Bihar." This is the mother of democracy; dadagiri will not work here. Now there will be a revolution in Bihar."

He directly questioned the role of the Bihar government and the Election Commission and said that there has been a criminal disorder of law and order, and Nitish Kumar is in a "comatose state."

Rahul Gandhi also made sharp attacks

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also joined the march. He said, "The Maharashtra election was stolen. Now an attempt is being made to do the same in Bihar. But the people of Bihar will not let this happen. This is Bihar; election theft will not work here." Rahul Gandhi also questioned the Election Commission and said that the Election Commission will also have to follow the Constitution.

Attempt to break barricading, tight security

The march, which started from Income Tax Golambar in Patna, was stopped near Shaheed Smarak. During this, some protesters tried to break the police barricading, due to which the atmosphere became tense for some time.

The strength of the Mahagathbandhan was seen

CPI General Secretary D Raja, CPI ML leader Dipankar Bhattacharya, Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram and VIP chief Mukesh Sahni also joined the march along with RJD and Congress. This is a clear indication that the opposition is now coming up with a united strategy on the electoral front. Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar said, "We have come out on the streets to protect democracy.  If the streets become silent, then the Parliament becomes astray."

His statement reflects the opposition's strategy of fighting from the streets to the Parliament.
