Bhagirathpura Water Tragedy Sparks Political Fallout

The Bhagirathpura water crisis, which has claimed 23 lives so far, has intensified political tensions in the state.

The Congress is targeting the Mohan Yadav government and Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, while several senior BJP leaders have also expressed criticism of their own government.

The Congress has been actively protesting in Indore over the issue. On January 11, the Madhya Pradesh Congress organized a “Justice March”, attended by Congress MLAs, former MLAs, state office bearers, and district leaders from Indore and neighboring districts.

Senior leaders, including Jitendra Patwari, Umang Singhar, and Digvijay Singh, participated in the march.

Congress to Intensify Protests During Rahul Gandhi’s Visit

State Congress leaders said that during his visit, Rahul Gandhi will not only meet the Bhagirathpura victims’ families but also participate in protests against the MNREGA renaming.

The party has also prepared to corner the BJP and the state government on other pressing issues.
