Bulandshahr: An incident of atrocities on a Dalit family has come to light in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident is said to have taken place on the night of April 21, when after a minor altercation, some rowdy youths ran a Thar car over the members of a Dalit family.

In this tragic accident, an elderly woman of the family died on the spot, while three others were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment, where their condition is said to be critical.

The police showed promptness in this case and arrested four accused - Prayashu, Manav, Krishna and Atul. The Thar vehicle used in the incident has also been seized by the police.

Ruckus after Thar car ran over Dalit family

A case has been registered against the accused under stringent sections. This incident has created an atmosphere of tension in the entire area.

As soon as the incident was reported, political parties also showed activism. On the instructions of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, a delegation led by Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman left for Sunehra village in Bulandshahr to meet the victim's family.

But as soon as the delegation reached near Gabhana toll plaza in Aligarh, some anti-social elements opposed their convoy. The situation deteriorated so much that an attempt was also made to pelt stones, in which the glass of Ramji Lal Suman's car got broken.

To control the situation, Aligarh Police took immediate action and evacuated the MP and other leaders safely. The delegation was forced to return from there amid heavy deployment of police force.

This entire episode has not only raised questions on the administration, but serious concerns are also being raised about the law and order situation.

At present, the police is deployed in the village to control the situation and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
