Srinagar: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, RSS is set to launch a major youth outreach initiative as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will interact with nearly 2,000 students and teenagers in Mumbai on August 6. The programme is part of the organisation's efforts to engage with Generation Z through discussions on leadership, education, values and nation-building.
The event comes days after Bhagwat spoke about the changing mindset of young people. He said that today's youth no longer accept instructions without questioning them and instead expect logical explanations, meaningful conversations and mutual respect.
His remarks were widely seen as an acknowledgement of the evolving expectations of India's younger generation.
According to organisers, the interaction will bring together school and college students for an open discussion with the RSS chief.
The session is expected to cover topics such as: Leadership and character building, Education and personal growth, National development, Social responsibility and the role of young citizens in shaping India's future.

The RSS says the programme is designed to encourage dialogue rather than one-way communication.
RSS leaders believe it is important to connect with young people at a time when technology, social media and changing career aspirations are influencing their outlook.
The organisation says such interactions will help it understand students' concerns while encouraging them to contribute positively to society.
Bhagwat has repeatedly said that parents, teachers and institutions should build trust with young people by listening to them and responding with logic and empathy instead of expecting unquestioning obedience.
The outreach programme has also attracted political attention, with some opposition leaders raising questions about its timing and purpose.
However, RSS functionaries have maintained that the initiative is part of the organisation's long-term engagement with students on issues related to national interest, social responsibility and value-based leadership.
The August 6 interaction, expected to draw nearly 2,000 participants, is likely to be one of the RSS's biggest youth engagement programmes in Mumbai in recent years. It is also being viewed as part of the organisation's wider outreach efforts ahead of its centenary initiatives.
