New Delhi: SPIC MACAY, an organization that preserves and promotes Indian cultural heritage, is celebrating its 21st Anniversary with a “Music in the Park” event. The event will be held at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, on 25 and 26 October starting at 6 pm. This music festival will strive to keep the tradition of classical music alive and promote its glory to the youth.
Magic of Classical Music
Great artists from India and abroad will showcase their art at the “Music in the Park” event. On the first day, 25 October, Dhruv Bedi (Sitar) accompanied by Akram Khan (Tabla), Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (Hindustani Vocal), Vinay Mishra (Harmonium), and Yati Bhagwat (Tabla) will grace the stage. On the second day, 26 October, Shashank Subramaniam (Sarod), Parupalli Phalguna (Mridangam), Dr N Rajam (Hindustani Violin), along with Nandini Shankar (Violin) and Abhishek Mishra (Tabla) will perform.

SRF Foundation and NDMC Collaboration
This program is being organized in collaboration with the SRF Foundation and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). SRF Limited is a multidisciplinary group that promotes cultural and environmental initiatives. The NDMC, meanwhile, supports the city’s urban planning and cultural events in the central area of New Delhi, enriching the city’s cultural heritage.

Founded in 1977 by Dr Kiran Seth, SPIC MACAY aims to bring Indian and world heritage to the youth. The organization works to promote classical music, dance, yoga, meditation, and folk culture and today has chapters in over 850 cities.
