The Supreme Court today made it clear that the one man committee of AP government to further investigate into the Tirupati laddu ghee adulteration does not clash with the already completed Supreme Court directed SIT investigation. The Chief Justice said that the one man committee was examining administrative lapses and was not overlapping with criminal investigation.

SC Refuses to Halt Andhra Govt’s Administrative Investigation into Ghee Adulteration
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Bagchi, refused to stop a one-man committee inquiry by the Andhra Pradesh government regarding the Tirupati laddu ghee adulteration case.
The Apex Court today noted that the state's probe into administrative lapses is distinct from the ongoing, separate criminal investigation already conducted by the Supreme Court - mandated Special Investigation Team (SIT). Chief Justice Surya Kant noted the court deemed the State's administrative inquiry and the SIT's criminal probe to be " well- demarcated " and not in conflict.
The Court was disposing of the petition filed by Dr Subramanyam Swamy. who sought to restrain the State's enquiry, arguing that parallel inquiry would interfere with SIT investigation under the supervision of CBI. The petitioner informed the court that the SIT had already completed its investigation and filed a final report.
It may be recalled that following the SIT investigation, the state cabinet earlier this month, decided to further probe the matter with a one member team headed by former Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar.
