New Delhi: Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday expressed regret over the disruptions witnessed on the opening day of the India AI Impact Summit, describing the overwhelming turnout as a sign of the country’s growing enthusiasm for artificial intelligence.

Addressing the media at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where the summit is being held, Vaishnaw acknowledged that some participants experienced inconvenience due to heavy crowds. He apologised to those affected and assured that corrective measures have already been implemented.

Calling it the “largest AI summit in the world,” the minister said the response had exceeded expectations, with more than 70,000 attendees participating on the first day. He highlighted the strong energy among visitors, industry leaders and exhibitors, noting that arrangements had since been streamlined.

Vaishnaw emphasised that the government remains open to suggestions and is committed to improving the overall experience for attendees.
