Daughters of Kuldeep Sengar Fight Legal Battle for Him
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the relief granted to former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar by the Delhi High Court in the Unnao rape case. The High Court had stayed Sengar's sentence, but the Supreme Court, after hearing a challenge to this decision, has now stayed the High Court's order. The court issued a notice to Kuldeep Sengar and sought a reply within four weeks.
Following the Supreme Court's order, Kuldeep Sengar's two daughters, Aishwarya and Ishita, have become active in supporting their father. Aishwarya and Ishita are presenting arguments through social media and the media to prove their father's innocence.

Aishwarya Sengar, the elder daughter, is a graduate of Delhi University and has completed her LLB. She is actively involved in her father's case. She is married to the son of Gorakhpur MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh. Ishita Sengar, the younger daughter, is studying in Delhi and maintains a low profile.

The Supreme Court, while staying the High Court's decision, stated that the amendments to POCSO only relate to increasing the punishment, not creating new offenses. The court cautioned the judiciary against succumbing to public pressure and bringing legal battles to the streets.
