New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the relief granted to former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar by the Delhi High Court in the Unnao rape case. The High Court had stayed Sengar's sentence, but the Supreme Court, after hearing a challenge to this decision, has now stayed the High Court's order. The court issued a notice to Kuldeep Sengar and sought a reply within four weeks.

Following the Supreme Court's order, Kuldeep Sengar's two daughters, Aishwarya and Ishita, have become active in supporting their father. Aishwarya and Ishita are presenting arguments through social media and the media to prove their father's innocence.

10 key arguments by the daughters

  • Kuldeep Sengar was not present at the scene of the incident.
  • The victim concealed her age and presented fake documents.
  • The victim repeatedly changed her statement, altering the time of the incident.
  • Sengar was ready for a narco and polygraph test from the beginning, but the victim refused.
  • There is no concrete evidence that Sengar committed the crime.
  • The charges are only under POCSO; it is unclear whether the girl was a minor.
  • If Sengar were not a politician, justice would have been served sooner.
  • The victim's family is accused of being influenced by political and personal motives.
  • Sengar is not to blame for the road accident and the deaths of the witnesses.
  • The trial court also acknowledged bias and politically motivated charges.

Supreme Court's decision and notice
