UP Weather Update: Mixed weather of heat and rain in state

The Meteorological Department has not predicted any major possibility of rain in the coming days. However, light rain and thundershowers are expected at some places in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on August 11. But no alert of heavy rain has been issued at any place during this period.

Lucknow: The effect of monsoon has reduced in Uttar Pradesh, but strong sunlight and humidity troubled people on Sunday. The Meteorological Department has not predicted any major possibility of rain in the coming days. However, light rain and thundershowers are expected at some places in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on August 11. But no alert of heavy rain has been issued at any place during this period.

Temperature may increase

After continuous rain for the last few days, there may be a slight increase in temperature now. The effect of more heat than normal was seen in the state on Sunday and Monday. In such a situation, there is a possibility of increase in heat in Uttar Pradesh in the coming days. According to weather experts, there may be rain in the state on Wednesday and Thursday, which may lead to a drop in temperature.

Possibility of heavy rain on August 13 and 14

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in western UP on August 12. However, a warning of heavy rain has been issued at some places in eastern UP. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the entire state on August 13 and 14, and an alert of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued on these days. The Meteorological Department says that heavy rain may occur in some parts of the state on August 15 as well.

How much rain fell in which district?

On Sunday, light rain was recorded in various districts of the state. The highest rainfall was recorded in Ballia district, where 73.3 mm of rain fell. Other major districts include Aligarh 10.4 mm, Muzaffarnagar 2.2 mm, Bareilly 4.5 mm, Jhansi 5.4 mm, Basti 5.3 mm and Churuk 3.4 mm of rain. At the same time, the maximum temperature in the capital Lucknow was 34.1℃ and the minimum temperature was 26.4℃.

Temperature fluctuations

Temperature fluctuations were also seen in different parts of the state. Varanasi BHU recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4℃, Prayagraj 34.4℃, Aligarh 29.8℃, Muzaffarnagar 33℃, Meerut 34.6℃ and Hamirpur 34.2℃. Citizens of Uttar Pradesh will have to face a mixed experience of heat and rain amid the weather disturbance in the coming days.
