The Meteorological Department in Srinagar on Saturday sounded a fresh weather alert, projecting a wet spell across Jammu and Kashmir between August 23 and 26.
The Meteorological Department has not predicted any major possibility of rain in the coming days. However, light rain and thundershowers are expected at some places in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on August 11. But no alert of heavy rain has been issued at any place during this period.

Yellow alert has been issued in Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Nainital and Bageshwar, where heavy rain, lightning and strong winds are expected. Heavy rain and lightning warning has also been issued in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Almora, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri.
