Dehradun: In a significant political move aimed at streamlining governance and ensuring balanced regional representation, the Uttarakhand government has announced the allocation of portfolios following the recent cabinet expansion. The reshuffle comes after the induction of five new ministers — Khajan Das, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Pradeep Batra, and Ram Singh Kaira.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has retained control over key and sensitive departments, including Finance, Home, Revenue, Excise, and Personnel, underlining his continued command over the state’s core administrative and law-and-order framework.
CM Dhami will also oversee crucial sectors such as Energy, Mining, Drinking Water, Vigilance, and Information & Public Relations.

The reshuffle has led to notable changes among senior cabinet members.

The Health Department has been reassigned from Dhan Singh Rawat to Subodh Uniyal, while the Panchayati Raj portfolio has been handed to Madan Kaushik. Similarly, the Rural Development department has been shifted from Ganesh Joshi to Bharat Singh Chaudhary, indicating a strategic redistribution of responsibilities.

The newly inducted ministers have been entrusted with key roles across diverse sectors, including rural development, urban infrastructure, transport, social welfare, and environmental management.
