Uttarakhand: Cloudburst wreak havoc in Dharali, dozens of houses washed away; Resque underway

Dehradun: A massive cloudburst today on Tuesday in Dharali village of Uttarkashi has triggered huge devastation. Over a dozens of houses has been washed away in the floods caused by this nature's fury, reports Dyanamite News correspondent. This incident of cloudburst happened in Dharali village just ahead of Gangotri Dham. As a reult a bulk of mountain debris entered the village and threw life out of gear. Cloudburst Video The video of the incident has surfaced on social media, in which mountain debris and drain water is seen entering the village. More than 20 hotels and homestays near Harshil have been damaged due to the devastating flood caused by cloudburst. SDRF, NDRF, district administration and other concerned teams are engaged in relief and rescue work on a war footing. I am constantly in touch with senior officials in this regard and the situation is being closely monitored. The Chief Minister has been informed immediately. Along with the information to the District Magistrate, the Army, Police, SDRF team have reached the affected area....' Chauhan further said that this is a very big disaster. 'I have also left for the spot from Dehradun. I pray to God to save everyone safely from this hour of fury.'
