93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrender

On December 16, the Pakistani army surrendered to the Indian Army. Approximately 93,000 Pakistani soldiers laid down their arms in this war. This surrender was led by General A.A. Khan Niazi. It is considered one of the largest military surrenders since World War II. Vijay Diwas has become a symbol of Indian military power, courage, and sacrifice.
