Weather Update: Delhi-NCR’s wait is over, heavy rains have occurred!

New Delhi: On the occasion of Sawan Shivratri, rain was seen in many areas of Delhi-NCR.

The weather has become pleasant due to the rain since morning. Due to which the traffic has been affected, vehicles were seen crawling on the roads.

At the same time, enthusiasm is also being seen among the Kanwariyas amidst the rain. A large number of Kanwariyas and Shiva devotees are performing Jalabhishek in Shiva temples.

Earlier on Tuesday also, it rained in many areas including Ghaziabad, Noida, Delhi. Tuesday brought relief from the heat in Delhi-NCR.

People were suffering due to the rain which had stopped for two days and the torture of humidity on top of it.

When it rained heavily on Tuesday, people were seen enjoying it everywhere. The Meteorological Department had predicted light to moderate rain for today as well. During this time the sky will generally remain cloudy.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain with cloud cover for the next 4-5 days. On July 23, Delhi will be cloudy and there will be light rain.

Due to rain, many roads were waterlogged and potholes were formed on many asphalt roads, which slowed down the traffic.

There was heavy traffic jam for several hours on ITO to Old Rohtak Road, Delhi-Jaipur Highway (NH-8), Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Mehrauli-Gurugram Road, Peeragarhi to ISBT, Madhuban Chowk, Delhi-Ghaziabad Road and National Highway-9.
