New Delhi: According to the report of the Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon rains have not yet stopped in many states of the country. Especially in many parts of Northeast India and Maharashtra, torrential rains are expected over the next 2-3 days.

The Meteorological Department has also informed that the southwest monsoon may retreat from some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, and Gujarat in the next two days.

Heavy rain alert in eastern Uttar Pradesh

The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in 16 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain at some places in the western part of Uttar Pradesh, while there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at many places in eastern UP.

Along with this, there is also a possibility of thunder and lightning at some places in both parts of the state. This is an indication that the weather in UP has changed a lot, and heavy rain is expected in the state in the coming days.

Continuous rain in Northeast India

There is a possibility of continuous rain in northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till September 21. This area is still under the influence of the monsoon, and there is no relief from torrential rain here.

Weather of Central and Western India

States of Central India like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand are likely to receive heavy rains from September 15 to 19. At the same time, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued today in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada of Western India. There may also be a risk of flood-like situations due to rain in these areas.

Weather of Delhi-NCR

The sky is expected to remain clear in Delhi-NCR till September 18. However, it will be partly cloudy during this time. The temperature will remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, due to which the weather will remain slightly warmer than normal.

Sudden weather change and rain in Bihar

The weather of Bihar has also changed suddenly. According to the Meteorological Department, rain will continue here for the next five days. Especially between September 15 and 19, there is a possibility of heavy rain and lightning in the state with thunderstorms. This may also cause local floods and waterlogging.
