Jyoti Malhotra arrested over spying for Pakistan
New Delhi: Haryana YouTuber and travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, also known as Jyoti Rani (33), was apprehended on Saturday for spying for Pakistan and leaking sensitive military information, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Jyoti is one of the six people booked under charges of espionage.
She had contact with Pakistani handlers and allegedly transfers sensitive information by WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, Police said.
According to the FIR she also made contact with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, known as Danish, at the Pakistan high commission in 2023 while applying for a visa to visit Pakistan.
FIR includes that Jyoti also met with Danish numerous times at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi and she was reportedly in contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives.
Jyoti admitted that she shared sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives and disguising their contacts with misleading names to evade detection, police said.
YouTube channel of Jyoti features in all 487 videos. These videos include many clips that show her visits to Pakistan. They are titled like “Indian Girl in Pakistan,” “Indian Girl Exploring Lahore,” “Indian Girl at Katas Raj Temple,” and “Indian Girl Rides Luxury Bus in Pakistan.”

Jyoti Malhotra is a travel vlogger who belongs to Haryana and runs a YouTube channel 'Travel With Jo'. Her Instagram handle, 'travelwithjo1', has over 1.35 lakh followers.
In her Instagram bio she has referred her as a "Nomadic Leo Girl. Wanderer. Haryanvi + Punjabi modern girl with old ideas."
Besides Jyoti has a keen interest in bike riding and solo travel.
She has travelled across India and a number of foreign countries, including Pakistan, Bhutan, Indonesia, and China.
She went to Pakistan twice, and her content from there has attracted scrutiny from Indian investigators.
About two months ago, she posted various videos and reels from Pakistan that shows her visit to Lahore's Anarkali Bazaar, Katas Raj Temple, and a bus journey across the country.
One of her Instagram post captions says, "Ishq (love) Lahore", and her content included comparisons between Indian and Pakistani culture and cuisine.
