Dispur: Nupur Bora is a 2019 batch ACS (Assam Civil Services) officer from Assam. She was born in Golaghat district of Assam. She received a degree in English Literature from Guwahati University and also studied at Cotton College. Before joining the civil service, Nupur Bora was working as a lecturer at the District Institute of Education and Training.
Nupur Bora started her administrative career as Assistant Commissioner in Karbi Anglong. She was in this post from March 2019 to June 2023. After this, in June 2023, she was posted as Circle Officer in Barpeta district. Later she was transferred to Kamrup district.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has formed a special team to investigate the matter. This team raided the house of Nupur Bora, where more than Rs 90 lakh in cash and gold jewelery worth about Rs 1 crore was recovered. Overall, his assets are said to be around Rs 2 crore.
